Modulation of cellular uptake through nanoparticle design

Identification of parameters that modulate the cellular uptake of nanoparticles into specific immune cells is of extremely importance to harness their unique properties for novel clinical application. Therefore, the thorough characterization of nanoparticles at each modification step in the engineering process is absolutely essential, since it can be necessary to make substantial adjustment of the particle design in order to obtain reliable cellular uptake data, which will truly reflect the particle properties.
