PhD Position in Perovskite Photovoltaics

Perovskite semiconductors are an exciting, emerging field of research that has attracted major attention in recent years. We at AMI are one of the leading groups in the field. We look for a PhD candidate who will work on the fundamental understanding and improvement of perovskite optoelectronic devices with an initial, but not exclusive, emphasis on solar cells.

The candidate will gain insights into the underlying mechanisms leading to the development of novel perovskites that can function as high-class optoelectronic devices.

The candidate is expected to conduct the following tasks:

  • Preparation of perovskite films and devices
  • Optical and electrical characterization of films and devices
  • Develop detailed understanding of the perovskite compositions with respect to optoelectronic properties
  • Analysis and presentation of large amounts of data

The candidate needs to bring the following skills and experience:

  • High motivation and enthusiasm
  • Working in a team with a problem-fixing approach to scientific work, commitment, dedication to experimentation, and a high level of self-reliance
  • Presenting and publishing scientific results at project meetings, national, and international conferences as well as in scientific journals
  • Working part of the time abroad

Please send your application including motivation letter, CV, certificates, references, and a brief description of your research projects during your undergraduate studies to Dr. Michael Saliba, AMI, (turn on JavaScript).
